The Brief

Refresh the brand layer of enterprise networking.

Comcast Business had just rolled out updated brand guidelines and needed an explainer for one of their most technical products: SD-WAN. The previous video read like every other piece of enterprise networking content on the internet - competent, on-message, and forgettable.

The Sage Agency brought us in to do something different. Turn a hard-to-explain product into a confident brand moment. Make a piece that could live as the primary service description on the Comcast Business website, not a one-off campaign asset that ages out in six months.

The Approach

Design-led, not diagram-led.

The trap in enterprise tech video is leaning on technical diagrams. Clouds, lines, arrows, packets. We threw that playbook out and built the entire film inside Comcast Business's refreshed visual system - new color palette, new typography, new motion language - and used that system to carry the technical explanation, not just decorate it.

Every visual element was purpose-built to reflect the updated brand. Color choices were drawn directly from the new palette. Motion behavior followed the brand's design principles. The result reads as a brand film first, an explainer second.

That order matters. When a B2B film is "explainer first, brand second," the audience tunes out the second they recognize the format. When it's "brand first," the technical content lands because the viewer is already paying attention.
